Writing this is reminding me of the emotions I felt when the idea of Gray & Toynbee was first broached with me – apprehensive and nervous but, most importantly, excited by the idea. Having been employed for all of my adult life, the majority of that working in the property sector, it was a big leap of faith to leave the security of relatively fixed working hours and a regular salary! My reasons for taking the leap? I have known, and worked with, both Alex and Chris for some time and I have no doubt that they know the market inside out and will make this a success. Between the three of us, we have decades of experience and to be starting something from the ground up is an opportunity I simply couldn’t miss. To be able to structure the business in a way that we know will work is an amazing feeling. Lettings and Property Management are a minefield of ever-changing legislation and keeping clients and tenants happy can be tricky however this means that the satisfaction in getting it right is all the more rewarding.
Fast forward to now, a few days before we launch, and we’re all very much looking forward to getting into our new office and building the business. I am looking forward to all the challenges, rewards and new opportunities coming our way and I am certain I made the right decision in becoming part of Gray & Toynbee.
